bengali poem ( Tumi je esechhile)

Stains

Stains

During my childhood days

I used to write with pen and ink pot

Resulting in blue or black stains

On hands and clothing…

Now we use dot pens and refills

As such practically no ink stains.

Moreover in present computer age

We press keys and communication is paperless. 

But stains are there.

Color is now RED….thick red of hate.

Nostalgic I am

Nostalgic I am

Sunrise and tweeting birds
Amidst echoed sound of culture
And I remembered my childhood time.

Dewed green in village fields
With riverside smell of peace
Along flowery décor
And I visualized my loving village.

Love and laughter of villagers
My school days and fight with friends
Funny games with mock rivalry
And I became pensive for adolescent days.

Present fakes with materialistic attitude
Along greed and competitions
And I feel myself lost and alone.

Nostalgic I am today.
