OM!

Omnipresent eldest

With elephantine countenance

And womb born from mystic illusion

You are the symbol of spiritual clairvoyance.

With wisdom and ‘Om’,

The echo of cosmic impetus

And holding a discus and conch shell

You rule with club and lotus.

You bless all with benevolence

As the supreme reality

Of human existence,

I worship you, God Ganapati.

You are the essence

Of devotion and infinity

And as maintainer of creation

You destroy our vanity.

You are the process

Of truth and intelligence

Churning all for success,

I bow to your corpulence.

You are the Lord

Of salvation and prudence

With bliss as Brahma,

You are my earthly presence.

You are non-dual essence

And the cyclic ‘chakraka’

Of material universe,

I submit to you, Vinayaka.
